Several members of our team will travel to the United Arab Emirates next week together with the CTU CarTech team from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, where we will present the possibilities of our electrically powered formula to the organizers as part of the zero year of EXPO 2020. If everything goes smoothly, we will return to the Yas Marina racing circuit in a few months and, together with other teams from the Formula Student competition, we will show visitors to the EXPO 2020 international world exhibition everything that is really in student monoposts. The Formula Student teams from the Czech Technical University in Prague will take part in EXPO 2020, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021. this program for more than a year and zero year is necessary to ensure the flawless course of the race already with a much larger number of student formulas. Students of CTU Cartech team from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering CTU with successful combustion car FS.2020 and students of eForce FEE Prague Formula from Faculty of Electrical Engineering CTU with their latest electric car FSE.11 .

In order for the planned student formula races to run smoothly at the general world exhibition EXPO 2020, both student teams will go to the Yas Marina circuit on 15 and 16 February to show off their monoposts. It is important for the organizers of dynamic demonstrations to know all the possibilities of student formulas as well as the needs related to service and facilities, which are a condition for every team for trouble-free races, which in case of problems will not be possible within EXPO 2020. The circuit on the shores of the Persian Gulf will experience for the first time the presentation of student formulas, which complete all the dynamic disciplines of the Formula Student competition. Both student formulas from CTU on the track will demonstrate their acceleration, ability to handle high lateral overload and their controllability directly on the track when driving at a racing pace. Racing monoposts from CTU will provide invaluable experience for ensuring the flawless course of competitions with a much larger number of student formulas.

The teams will also organize a workshop with local universities and industry representatives to present the Formula Student competition, which has no representative at the universities in the United Arab Emirates. Visitors will also be presented with the organization of Formula Student competitions by a representative of the international Formula Student Czech Republic competitions. Both teams from CTU have been participating in the competition for more than 10 years and have been on the podium for a long time. “We hope that our visit to the locals will provoke interest in this competition, which is one of the largest university competitions in the world, and in the future we will be able to face new teams from the United Arab Emirates on the Yas Marina circuit, ”Says members of the eForce FEE Prague Formula team.

I am therefore pleased that they were selected as representatives of the Czech Republic to participate in an exclusive project, which is undoubtedly EXPO. ”
