FS.15

Built on the foundation of the world’s first hybrid single-seater, the car is coming off the most successful season in CTU CarTech’s history. There have been a few modifications from the previous model, with the most significant changes made to the hybrid and internal combustion powertrains. These include enhanced aerodynamics (resulting in a significant increase in downforce), a 12 kg reduction in weight, a 60 mm shortening of the chassis, and a new feature that allows the driver to adjust the rear suspension stiffness on the fly.

Equally important improvements were made to the electric motor software, better cooling for the in-house battery, new precision-cast ballasts, and lighter carbon wheels, clutch, and steering column, along with the addition of electro-pneumatic shifting.

In addition to the 63 kW combustion engine, the car is powered by two electric motors on the front axle, delivering a total output of 12 kW. The power output of the electric powertrain is regulated by rules limiting the maximum battery weight to 3 kg and the system voltage to 60 V. For this reason, the combustion engine remains the primary power unit.
