The 2021 season meant a completely new concept of the car for the piloted division of the team. The battery is now located under the pilot’s feet, and thanks to a better distribution of the other units in the car, we have reduced the moment of inertia by 12%. Lighter and shorter, by a significant 45 centimeters, it is a carbon monocoque with a sandwich structure carrying a completely new chassis together with the wheel structure.
The motors are now located directly in all four wheels. Changes to the traction system did not end with the placement of the Battery. It could be lightened thanks to the use of energy recovery. The system now operates at a higher maximum voltage of 600V.
